The Lady and the Unicorn (La Dame a la licorne) in the cycle of tapestries currently held at the Musee national du Moyen Age in Paris does not nominate desire but love. The others are on the thousand flowered highway to love and talk desire, to touch, to smell, to hear, to love. The whole tapestry talks about the garden of love and how God shines on her. All the animals talking about heraldry or the royal crests suggest the castle tapestries were made for the Lady of honour or the princess. The young virgin or merry maid newly wed to the King. He must have been deeply in love to line the castle with such a nominated gift. They are exquisite offerings to the Holy divine and touch anybody with a heart.
