on the crumpled velvet by a somber guffaw
this rigid whiteness
ridiculous
in opposition to the sky
too much so
not to mark
in the slightest detail
whoever
bitter prince of the reef
wears it as an heroic headdress
irresistible but contained
by his small virile reason
